What we collect,
and what we don't.
Docks Overseas is a fresh produce export house in Bengaluru, India. This page says plainly what happens to anything you tell us. It is short, because we collect very little.
When you enquire
Ten fields, and
a person who reads them.
The form on our contact page is the only place this website asks you for anything at all.
It asks for your name, company, email address, phone number and country, and for what you are looking to buy — the produce, the volume and the incoterm — along with anything else you choose to write. You give us those because you want a quote. We use them to reply to you and to work out whether we can ship what you need.
What you send goes to our own mailbox through a Google service. It is not passed to a marketing platform, a CRM or a data broker. We do not sell it, rent it or hand it to anyone outside Docks Overseas — with one honest exception: once you are actually shipping with us, a freight forwarder, shipping line or customs agent will need the consignee details to move the container.
We keep enquiries for as long as we might reasonably do business with you, and records of consignments we have actually shipped for as long as Indian export and tax law obliges us to. Ask us to delete an enquiry and we will, unless it belongs to a shipment we are required to keep records of.
What this site does not do
No cookie banner,
because no cookies.
We do not know who visits this website, how often, or where from. We decided we did not need to.
No analytics
No Google Analytics and no equivalent. No visitor counts, no dashboards.
No advertising pixels
Nothing here reports back to an ad network, and we do not retarget anyone.
No tracking cookies
There is no consent pop-up on this site because there is nothing to consent to.
Only ordinary logs
Our hosting keeps the standard server logs that all web hosting keeps.
Our own software
The application
behind the desk.
Our partners run an internal application to manage sourcing, shipments and invoicing. It is not open to customers.
It holds our own trading records — suppliers, purchase orders, containers, invoices — on a database we control, reachable only by the people who work here.
Where that application files shipping documents in Google Drive, it uses the narrowest permission Google offers for the job: it can create and reopen the files it puts there itself, and cannot read anything else in the account. Those documents sit in the company Google account and are seen only by our partners.
Your information, your call
Ask, and a partner
will deal with it.
There is no portal and no ticket number for this.
Ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you. Ask us to correct it and we will. Ask us to delete it and we will, within the record-keeping limits above.
Write to docksoverseas@gmail.com or use the contact page, and you will hear back from one of us.
